The Peoples Druid Charlie Bigwood smiling in front of the Saqqara step pyramid and cobra wall in Egypt.

Greetings, welcome! My name is Charlie Bigwood.

I am a travelling Druid, journeying the land in my van, Rowan of the Red Moon. Within it, I carry a small moving sanctuary—a quiet, sacred space where others are invited to pause, reflect, and journey inward.

I am a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, and have walked this path for many years. Rooted in a strong Celtic ancestry, my work is deeply shaped by a reverence for those who came before me and an ongoing honoring of the ancestors. My working life has been diverse, spanning healthcare and not-for-profit roles, each chapter deepening my understanding of service, care, and human connection. I bring a caring, compassionate, and inclusive presence to all I meet, and my work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach. Now, I am stepping more fully into this calling.

My path is guided by the spirit of Awen—the sacred flow of inspiration at the heart of the Druidic tradition. Awen, meaning “flowing spirit”, is the inspiration of creativity, wisdom, and insight that moves through all things. Through this work, my intention is to help others reconnect with that inner source, so they may rediscover their own wisdom, healing, and truth.

These journeys are an invitation to awaken your inner sovereignty and personal power. As awareness deepens, life can be met with greater clarity, discernment, and wise judgment. From this place, it becomes possible to live more fully and authentically.

There is nothing you need to do—only to be still and observe. In stillness and silence, the seeds of wisdom are able to grow.

If our paths cross along the way, you are warmly welcome to step inside, sit for a while, and share in the quiet space.

Rowan of the Red Moon and the Druid Tree Language

I named my van Rowan of the Red Moon beneath the Blood Moon on March 3rd, 2026—a name rooted in ancient magic and meaning on the day I bought her.

The Druids hold trees as sacred, seeing them as living sources of wisdom and connection between worlds. The word Druid means ‘forest sage’.

Rowan, or Luis (loo-ish) in the Ogham tree alphabet, represents the letter L and is known as the tree of light. It’s bright red berries glow through winter, symbolising protection, resilience, and guidance. Long revered, its berries were used in healing teas, and it’s wood crafted into amulets, staffs, and tools of divination.

Ogham, the earliest written language of the Gaelic people, is said to have been gifted by the God Ogma of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Each symbol carries both sound and natural meaning, traditionally carved along stone or wood and written bottom-to-top instead of left-to-right.

The Meaning Behind My Logo

My logo is a reflection of the path I walk and the work I offer—a weaving together of ancient Druidic wisdom and a clear, modern expression of harmony.

Encircled within a golden ring, it speaks to infinity and oneness—the understanding that all things arise from, and return to, a shared source.

At its centre rests the Celtic triquetra, an unbroken knot of interconnection, symbolising the continuous weaving of life—body, mind, and spirit; past, present, and future; self, nature, and the unseen.

Above, the sun represents consciousness and origin—the source of all life. From it descend three rays, echoing the Druidic concept of Awen: the sacred flow of inspiration and divine presence. These rays move downward into the knot, symbolising the embodiment of the divine within the human experience.

Below, the grounding elements of nature remind us that this cosmic flow is not separate from life—it is lived through it, rooted in the earth, present in every moment.

Together, the symbol reflects a simple truth:
that love and peace are already woven into all beings, gently guiding us back to oneness.

May the path rise gently beneath your feet.

With love, peace, and many blessings
Charlie🌿✨
